Ethiopia is the home to more than 78 million people.  According to recent reports, there are less than 2,000 Physicians and less than 100 Dentists for the entire country.  If you are surprised by these statistics, you are not alone.  As more people discover the desperation that people in the Majority World face day after day, they want to find a way to help.


Tropical Health Alliance Foundation (THAF) answers the call for more medical professionals through an elective program for physicians trained in Tropical Medicine and who are looking for opportunities to improve their clinical skills.  A Physician can choose to participate in the program, after completing his training, by serving three months or more at one of the Foundations partner hospitals.
